In 1976, İyigüllü Group (founded in 1956) acquired Akiş Paint which was founded in 1938. The headquarters was moved from İstanbul to Bursa same year.

Group has experince in industrial and protective coatings over 60 years. Akiş  Paint can manufacture its own alkyd resin and colorants. Through its own service points and distributers the company offer unparalled tinting opportunity in 250 point within the scope of it geograpy.

In 2012 Akiş Paint signed a license agreement with Carboline. With this partnership Akiş Paint offers the broadest product range in industrial, protective, lining and fireproofing markets.
